Gallant/Patterson Workshop - Day 3 (October 15, 2008)
This morning our group went with André to Hampton area and we were chasing the inversion, trying to photograph mist and rising fog over the river. A spectacular views in the spite that they were changing very quickly. Then we moved close to the bridge and lastly to a small church. André was teaching us how to pan and zoom technique to create impressionistic images.
Here are the 3 images and clicking at any will take you to my Gallery with Other Images that didn’t make the selection, but are representative of this day.

Papa,
It’s 4am and I can’t sleep so I’ve spent an hour viewing your blog and gallery. What beautiful images you captured. I’m leaving my post here because this group of three is my favourite. I’d say the one of the tree with the swing is my very favourite. I know you prefer to photograph scenes of nature, but the old red swing in this photo adds an element of human emotion to the beautiful nature surrouding it and really affects me to view it. Very good job. The autumn leaves reflecting in the pond in the top picture are also striking, I’ve seen you use this technique before, like when you went to Yellowstone. Beautiful. I should go to bed now, I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
