This was another TCC outings with an early start to capture the first light at Evergreen Brick Works. When reflecting on the images from this shoot, I can’t but indulge in a wonderment that this nature jewel is in the middle of Toronto. What a refuge from all that concrete jungle and noisy surroundings! We had a group of about 15 people that turned out for the shoot. It was nice to see some of the new members coming as well.
We were really lucky with the weather, fog was hanging over the area (since it is located around Don Valley and Bayview); it created somewhat mystic scenery with all the fall colors, fog and sunrise. Perfect photographers dream (at least mine anyway) and it lasted for almost two hours.

You can always see our participants in the search of that perfect shot and inevitably, sometime getting into someone’s composition. so they appear as strange ghosts with cameras and tripods.

I couldn’t resist to do some abstract motion shots because of the plentiful colors and shapes that almost beg for it. Besides, it is one of my preferred tricks with my camera (due thanks to Freeman Patterson and André Gallant workshops (2010) (2008)).

One nice thing about this place is that there are many events throughout the year, so after exhausting fog, colors and sunrise we wandered through flee market in one of the buildings and also the surrounding areas. There is always something to photograph!
